Nepal Police Extends Support

Nepal Police extended a support of Rs. 100,000 to the charity match that Nepal Sports Journalists Forum (NSJF) is organizing along with Federation of Nepalese Journalists (FNJ) to raise funds for Journalists’ Welfare Fund. The fund supports the education and livelihood of the families of the journalists killed or displaced due to internal conflict.

Acting Inspector General of Police Om Bikram Rana handed over the cheque to NSJF president Niranjan Rajbanshi and FNJ treasurer and NSJF general-secretary Hemanta Kafle today at the Police Headquarters.

“We always support such works,” Rana said on the occassion. The match, entitled Challenge the Champion is being held between Manang Marsyandi Club and Nabil Three Star Club on July 22 at the Dasrath Stadium.

NSJF thanked Nepal Police for their support. “I thank Nepal Police for the support they have extended,” president Rajbanshi said.
