New NSJF Executive Committee

Nepal Sports Journalists Forum (NSJF) elected a new executive committee for the three-year term under chairmanship of Niranjan Rajbanshi.

Executive Committee 2006-09

President: Niranjan Rajbanshi (Nepal Samacharpatra)
First Vice-President: Rajendra Gyawali (Kantipur)
Vice-presidents: Roshan Singh Raut (Annapurna Post) & Dhurba Tuladhar (Nepal Samacharpatra)
General Secretary: Hemanta Kafle (Annapurna Post)
Secretary: Mahesh Acharya (The Himalayan Times)
Treasurer
: Himesh Bajracharya (Kantipur)

All above mentioned positions were elected unopposed. The election was held for four members for which seven contested. Forty votes were cast and the results were:

Members
Devendra Subedi (The Kathmandu Post - 34 votes)
Prakash Timilsina (Annapurna Post - 33 votes)
Ajay Phuyal (Nepal Samacharpatra - 30 votes)
Binod Pandey (Nepal Samacharpatra - 29 votes)

The new executive committee will nominate two members while the president will nominate two more to form the 15-member executive committee.
