LG will sponsor the Player of the Year Award 2062. An agreement in this regard was signed between organizing Nepal Sports Journalists Forum (NSJF) and Chaudhary Group, the owner of LG brand today at the NSJF office. The sponsorship is worth Rs. 100,000.

NSJF president Niranjan Rajbanshi and LG representative Ramesh Shrestha signed the agreement paper. According to the agreement the award, being given in five different categories, would officially be called LG Player of the Year Award 2062.

As per the contract, would provide NSJF with Rs 50,000 in cash while the other half would be provided in kind. NSJF has been awarding top Nepali sportspersons every year since 2057 BS.

Speaking on the occasion, Rajbanshi thanked Chaudhary Group for sponsoring the title of the award. He also expressed happiness for being able to be associated with world famous brand like LG.

Ramesh Shrestha said that his company would look forward to work together in the long runs as well. Meanwhile, NSJF has rescheduled the NSJF LG Player of the Year award ceremony for July 31. Earlier the vent was scheduled for July 29.

Nepal Police extended a support of Rs. 100,000 to the charity match that Nepal Sports Journalists Forum (NSJF) is organizing along with Federation of Nepalese Journalists (FNJ) to raise funds for Journalists’ Welfare Fund. The fund supports the education and livelihood of the families of the journalists killed or displaced due to internal conflict.

Acting Inspector General of Police Om Bikram Rana handed over the cheque to NSJF president Niranjan Rajbanshi and FNJ treasurer and NSJF general-secretary Hemanta Kafle today at the Police Headquarters.

“We always support such works,” Rana said on the occassion. The match, entitled Challenge the Champion is being held between Manang Marsyandi Club and Nabil Three Star Club on July 22 at the Dasrath Stadium.

NSJF thanked Nepal Police for their support. “I thank Nepal Police for the support they have extended,” president Rajbanshi said.
